Site investigation works will be taking place at Brislington meadows and the adjoining western field on 18 November 2025. These works are to complete the earlier trial pits carried out in September. The works will involve machine excavated trial pits ( around 9 number pits) using a JCB excavator. The work is required to assess ground conditions and to obtain samples for testing.
The pits are typically 2m long , 0.6m wide and can be up to 4m depth, dependant on ground conditions. The arisings will be placed in stockpiles adjacent to the pits temporarily . On completion each pit will be backfilled and compacted. The pits will be reinstated with the removed soil and grass. The works will be supervised at all times by an engineer and no pits will be left open overnight. Access to the pit locations will be via agreed routes , without disruption to users of the site.
An Ecological Clerk of Works will be on site at all times , providing ecological supervision, advice and mitigation.
On 21 November, tree contractors will be removing fly-tipped green waste from the footpath from Bonville Road to Belroyal Avenue, Tree cuttings are also being removed from Sinnott House.
